![]() ![]() I'd assume Intel has drivers for the G965 chipset on their website. They seem to be more stable even if they don't enable all the manufacturer's bells and whistles. I always use NVidia generic drivers rather than those provided by the video card manufacturers. Installing the latest video card drivers from NVidia fixed it. I was also reding here on the forum that you can manually put the resolution in the EDID structure and force it somehow to get to this resolution, but I have no idea how to do this.Īny idea how can I solve this had a similar problem when I bought a new Gateway widescreen two weeks ago. Several months ago, our group test of widescreen monitors saw one model stand head and shoulders above the rest in terms of image quality, features and value. I uninstalled the dell driver and went back to Plug&Play monitor, I updated the graphics driver from Intel's website, I updated the monitor driver from dell website, but still, NO 1680x1050. ![]() Then, I updated the monitor drivers from the CD that came in the package with the monitor, I rebooted the system and from that point I didn't have the 1680x1050 in the resolution list. ![]() Last night, I unplugged my old monitor and plugged the new Dell and I was able to set the 1680x1050 resolution. I have a X3000 (G965 chipset) on board video card on a Intel G965 motherboard. I got it last night and I cannot set its native resolution on Windows XP. I have a problem with my new Dell E207WFP. ![]()
